I'm Hunter Sandy,
an 18-year-old racer from New Mexico
In 2025, I had my most accomplished year yet. I kicked it off with the biggest win of my career, taking the $2,000-to-win USRA B-Mods feature at the Inaugural USRA Southwest Stock Car Showdown. I spent the season running double duty at Vado Speedway Park, where I managed to clinch a double track championship in the USRA B-Mods and USRA Stock Cars.

Later in the 2025 season, I teamed up with Tony Mesa to drive the #12 CDR Race Cars USRA Modified grabbing my first A-Mod feature win at Vado Speedway Park when the World of Outlaws visited in September. Racing three divisions in 2025 taught me to adapt quickly and thrive under pressure, which is exactly what I need for my next step.
I'm now focused on achieving my major career goal: running the full USMTS Modifieds tour in 2026. For my rookie season, my targets are to complete the entire tour, capture at least one USMTS feature win, and finish in the top 10 in points. The competition is tough, but I can’t wait to get rolling!
